Many people new to betting on 09b run into the same issue — they look at the numbers but can't tell which odds are good and which aren't. Once you understand how it works, though, it's pretty straightforward.
Decimal Odds — 09b's Standard Format
09b displays odds in decimal format. For example, odds of 2.50 mean that a ৳100 bet returns ৳250 in total if you win — your original ৳100 stake included, giving you a profit of ৳150.
Total Payout = Stake × Odds
Example: ৳500 × 2.50 = ৳1,250 (Profit ৳750)
Does a lower odds mean better or worse?
Lower odds mean the market considers that outcome more likely. For instance, India at 1.35 signals the market sees them as heavy favourites — but the payout is modest. On the other hand, Bangladesh at 3.20 offers a bigger payout, but the market rates their chances as lower.
Smart bettors are always looking for the gap between what the market implies and what they believe the real probability is. That gap is called a "value bet." On 09b, you can compare odds across different matches to spot these opportunities.
Why Do Odds Change?
Odds are never fixed. From the moment a match is announced to while it's being played, odds can shift many times. A key player getting injured, the toss result, a rain forecast, or a large bet hitting the market — any of these can move the odds.
This is why many experienced bettors place their wagers well before the match — odds tend to be slightly higher earlier on. As more people back a particular outcome, the odds on that side gradually shorten.
What Is Implied Probability?
Every set of odds has a calculation behind it — implied probability tells you how likely the bookmaker thinks an outcome is.
Implied Probability = (1 ÷ Odds) × 100%
Example: 2.00 odds → (1 ÷ 2.00) × 100 = 50% probability
If you believe a team's chances of winning are higher than what the market implies, that's your value bet opportunity.
